The KXLY 4 Extreme Team Spokane Humane Society remodel project is now in the history books. The project was completed Feb. 25, 2016. It took a combination of contractors and their employees, volunteers and Spokane Humane Society staff members to accomplish the project.
Led by KXLY 4 Good Morning Northwest Anchor Mark Peterson, who organized the project and kept it in the public eye through a variety of live on-site television broadcasts and social-media feeds, the team remodeled Kennel 1, the main lobby area, various other rooms, the bathrooms, and exterior grounds.
Mark Peterson told me the project was five years in the making, and I know from my conversations with Spokane Humane Society staffers that they're pleased with the results.
In my last blog entry I showed some of the work that had been done up to that point. In this blog entry I hope to show you a good overall picture of the project as it stood as of Feb. 25. There's no way I could capture everything, but I got what I could, and I hope it gives you a good picture of the amount of work and number of people involved in making this happen.
