Do you like biscuits? Biscuits and gravy? Biscuits and jam? All three?
Then you need to get to know Tamara White. Tamara purveys delicious biscuits, gravy and jam, all handmade by her from scratch, through her local company, Shotgun Biscuit.
I met Tamara through the SNAP Women's Business Center, where she and I attended some small business workshops this past summer. Tamara was kind enough to allow her fellow workshop attendees to taste her biscuits and jam, and I can tell you everyone who tried them loved them. The jam she brought in was her own creation: strawberry, cinnamon, amaretto. Believe me, it was delicious. Paired with her delicious biscuits, it was a delightful experience.
During our recent photo shoot at Kitchen Spokane, a Spokane Valley commercial kitchen that's available for public use (http://www.kitchenspokane.org), I had the pleasure of watching Tamara make her biscuits from scratch, and after they were done and we finished photographing them, I got to eat them along with her stellar gravy. Talk about a well-paying gig. Yum!
You can only get Tamara's biscuits, gravy and jam directly from her, and you really should make the effort if you like biscuits, gravy and jam. To do it, you need to contact her. You can call her at 509-468-3703, or you can e-mail her at Shotgun.Biscuit@gmail.com. She also does catering, and you can ask her about that when you talk to her.
